Vinayaka is the god of Wisdom

it is a belief among the Hindus that Vinayaka can remove all the obstacles coming in the life of a devotee hence to please the god yatra of 8 temples of Vinayaka is done. All these 8 temples are in the Pune, Ahmednagar, and Raigad districts of Maharashtra. Out of 8 Ashtavinayak Temples 5 are in Pune's close vicinity while only three temples are outside Pune districts, hence if you arrive at Pune at the night and the next day starts the Yatra from Pune then Yatra can be completed in 01 Night 02 Days period total distance covered is 850 km. However, if you are starting the yatra from Mumbai then the total distance covered is around 1000 km and it requires 02 Nights and 03 Days period to complete the yatra. Ashtavinayak means "eight Ganeshas" in Sanskrit. Ganesh is the deity of unity, prosperity & learning which removes obstacles. Visiting the temples of Ashtavinayak refers to a pilgrimage to the eight Ganesh temples in the Maharashtra state of India that house eight distinct idols of Ganesha, in a pre-ascertained sequence. This trip covers the eight ancient holy temples of Ganesh which are situated around Pune. Each of these temples has its own individual legend and history, as distinct from each other as the murtis in each temple.

 1) Maureshwar at Morgaon- in Pune District - 64 km from Pune city

 2) Siddhivinayak at Siddhatek- in Ahmednagar District - 107km from Pune city

3) Ballaleshwar at Pali - in Raigad District - 123km from Pune City

 4) Vardhavinayak at Mahad- in Raigad District - 139km from Pune City

 5) Chintamani Temple at Theur -in Pune District - 27km from Pune City

6) Girijatmak Temple at Lenyadri- in Pune District - 97 km from Pune City

 7) Vigneshwar Temple at Ozar-in Pune District -88km from Pune City

8) Mahaganapati  at Rajangaon     in Pune District -86km from Pune City

Each of these temples has its own history. As per the Hindu Shastra(Religion) you have to start Yatra starting from Maureshwar Temple of Moragon then other temples shown in sequence as above, But if you are starting Yatra from Mumbai then you can start yatra from Vardvinayak Temple Mahad. 

Tour Itinerary

Day-01: Mumbai-Pune

Start the journey early in the morning at 4:30 am from Mumbai and reach Mahad Vardvinayak Temple at 9:00 am. After darshan have your breakfast a d proceed to Ballaleshwar Temple Pali at 11:00 am.

After darshan takes your lunch and proceeds to Ranjangaon to take darshan of Mahaganapati at 4:00 pm after darshan proceeds towards Pune. On arrival check in to Hotel. Have a dinner O/N halt in Pune

Day-02: Pune

After Breakfast in the hotel at 7:00 am proceed to Their to take darshan at Chintamani Temple and reach Their by 9:00 am. After darshan proceeds to Siddhatek by 12:00 noon. On arrival take the darshan of Siddhivinayak. After darshan take your lunch and after lunch proceed to Morgaon  reach morgaon at 4:00 am  take darshan of Shri Moreshwar  and Prati Balaji and return to Pune take your dinner in hotel O/N halt

Day-03: Pune-Mumbai

After Breakfast at 7:00 am in the hotel proceed to Ozar and reach Ozar by  10:00 am on arrival take darshan of Vigneshwar then proceed to Lenyadri at 12:00 noon on arrival take darshan of Shri Girijatmak Ganesha. After darshan takes your lunch and starts your return journey to Mumbai. By 7:00 pm you will be in Mumbai on arrival you will be dropped at your residence or Railway station, with memorial experience of Gagangiri Tours and Travels(MTDC Approved Travel Agency)
